Aryn Morell
Like many college students who struggle to be fulfilled with their studies and look for guidance from an older sibling or parent, Aryn was at a crossroads in deciding whether to move to Texas to continue with Chemical Engineering or to look into medicine like his father as another mentor and family friend had suggested. After a weekend in Napa Valley with his brother who had encouraged him to look into winemaking and its beautiful mixture of science and creativity, he fell enamored with the Valley, the vibe of the industry and the people he met. 20 years later, over 300,000 cases made and well over 500 90+ rated wines shows the right choice was made.
A native of Washington State, who entered the wine industry in the Napa Valley at Golden State Vintners and Edgewood Estates and left after a stint at Silver Oak and D’Vine Intervention to come home to Washington after 5 years in Napa. The following decades in Washington have seen remarkable growth, not only in production but in his approach to making wine.
